Alphabet signed an agreement with Georgia Power to support uprates at Plant Vogtle and Plant Hatch in Georgia. The upgrades are expected to add 96 megawatts of generation capacity and support electricity demand from Alphabet’s expanding AI data-center infrastructure. Alphabet will subscribe to a new Nuclear Uprate tariff and associated zero-emission credits, while the project is projected to provide approximately $900 million in customer benefits over the plants’ lifespans, subject to Georgia Public Service Commission approval.
