As of March 31, 2026, Alphabet reported material purchase commitments and other contractual obligations totaling $332.4 billion, of which $138.0 billion was short-term. These commitments primarily relate to costs for technical infrastructure and inventory through long-term supply agreements and open purchase orders and include commitments for content licenses and energy take-or-pay contracts. The company discloses these obligations in Note 10 and notes that certain variable-term agreements are not estimated beyond minimum quantities/pricing as of March 31, 2026. Many of these commitments are multi-year and relate to data center construction, servers and network equipment, and content licensing through at least the remainder of the decade.
