Google partnered with Georgia Power to fund upgrades at the Vogtle and Hatch nuclear plants. The upgrades would increase generating capacity by 96 MW to support new Google data centers. The arrangement requires state regulatory approval and is intended to address electricity demand from Alphabet’s AI infrastructure expansion.
