Global Payments is expanding Genius distribution through financial institutions, direct sales, dealer networks, and geographic expansion. Desjardins has begun selling Genius in Canada, while Worldpay’s financial-institution partners are expected to begin selling it in the United States. The company is also launching a nationwide roadshow across partner bank branches to improve awareness and education. Management expects SMB payments procurement to increasingly occur through software providers, with Genius focused on restaurant and retail verticals while other SMB verticals migrate toward the Platforms business.
