North America delivered solid SMB growth in the second quarter, supported by the enlarged sales force and Genius rollout. Canada is gaining Genius momentum through the Desjardins bank partnership, and Global Payments expanded enterprise coverage for Domino’s and a global retailer’s Canadian locations. The U.K. SMB market was described as somewhat soft, with weakness more concentrated in the Worldpay business. International Platforms growth remained broad, with more than half of new partners signed in the quarter coming from outside the domestic market.
