Honeywell Aerospace US LLC filed a lawsuit against electric-vehicle maker Rivian alleging infringement of seven vehicle-safety patents. The patents were originally developed for aircraft and cover safety monitoring, autonomous navigation, and hazard detection technologies. Honeywell Aerospace claims the technologies also apply to ground vehicles and is seeking monetary damages, injunctive relief, and enhanced damages for alleged willful infringement.
