IBM and Red Hat will provide the Lightwell open-source vulnerability remediation service at no charge to more than 185 U.S. research universities and 100 major nongovernmental organizations and think tanks. Lightwell uses AI-driven automation and human engineering expertise to identify, validate, and remediate vulnerabilities without requiring disruptive upgrades or disclosure of proprietary code.
