IBM’s Think on Tour EMEA 2026 conference highlighted growing enterprise concern about accountability, trust, governance and control as AI agents move beyond chatbots into autonomous decision-making. An IBM study found that 80% of surveyed EMEA executives had escalated an AI-related incident to the board or C-suite during the prior year, while only 37% said their governance was designed to scale with agentic AI deployment. The findings support demand for governance embedded in AI architecture and integrated into business operating processes.
