Employee headcount decreased to 12,725 as of June 30, 2026 from 12,806 a year earlier, a reduction of 81 employees. The decline primarily reflected reductions made to realize synergies from the Black Knight acquisition. Compensation and benefits expense nevertheless increased $34 million for the six months and $10 million for the quarter because of merit-related pay increases, partly offset by the lower headcount.
