Second-quarter continuing-operations income tax expense was $31 million on $64 million of pretax income, compared with a $112 million tax benefit on $438 million of pretax income in the prior-year period. First-half tax expense was $72 million on $260 million of pretax income, compared with a $92 million benefit on $526 million of pretax income in 2025. The change reduced second-quarter continuing-operations net income to $33 million from $550 million and first-half net income to $188 million from $618 million.
