Income Tax Rate Changes
Invesco Ltd. · 2026-08-04 · Importance 15 · Surprise 14
The six-month effective tax rate increased to 26.2% for 2026 from 25.0% for 2025, a 1.2-percentage-point increase. The higher rate was primarily driven by the unfavorable effect of increased net loss attributable to non-controlling interests in consolidated entities. Favorable tax effects partially offset the increase, including a reduction in unrecognized-tax-benefit expense, excess tax benefits from vested share-based awards, and favorable treatment of the gain on the Canadian fund-business management-agreement sale.
Key facts
- Effective tax rate was 25.6% for the three months ended June 30, 2026 (three months ended June 30, 2025: 28.1%); decrease primarily due to favorable discrete tax benefit from gain on sale of Canadian management agreements and reduction in expense for unrecognized tax benefits from favorable resolution of certain tax matters during Q2 2026. source
