Johnson & Johnson’s partnered depression candidate JNJ-5120/PIPE-307 failed to meet the primary efficacy endpoint in the Phase 2 MOONLIGHT-1 trial for major depressive disorder. The setback follows an earlier failure in a multiple sclerosis trial. J&J and Contineum Therapeutics are still evaluating the Phase 2 data, while Contineum’s shares declined modestly after the announcement.
