Johnson & Johnson’s Caplyta (lumateperone) met the primary endpoint in a Phase 3 study for adults with manic episodes associated with bipolar I disorder. The trial showed significant reductions in manic symptoms versus placebo, with improvement reported as early as day three and sustained through three weeks. The result expands Caplyta’s potential beyond its current uses in schizophrenia, bipolar depression, and adjunctive treatment for major depressive disorder.
