JPMORGAN CHASE & CO · 2026-05-01 · Importance 66 · Surprise 74 · From source text
Receivables from customers, reflecting held-for-investment margin loans to brokerage clients in CIB, CCB and AWM, were $64,844 million at March 31, 2026, up from $47,336 million at December 31, 2025. These margin loans are collateralized by assets in clients’ brokerage accounts and are reported within accrued interest and accounts receivable on the Consolidated balance sheets. The Firm manages these exposures through margin requirements and ongoing monitoring, and generally does not record an allowance given short-term nature and collateralization unless management judgment requires expected credit losses. The increase of $17,508 million quarter-over-quarter indicates higher client financing activity in the first quarter.
