Wholesale credit exposure increased to $1.674 trillion at June 30, 2026 from $1.544 trillion at December 31, 2025, driven by higher CIB loans, AWM securities-based lending and CIB lending commitments reflecting client demand. Criticized exposure rose to $50.3 billion, or approximately 3.3% of total wholesale credit exposure, from $48.5 billion, primarily because of downgrades and new commitments in Commercial and Industrial, especially Consumer & Retail, Transportation, Industrials and Oil & Gas. Real Estate exposure reached $230.4 billion, with criticized exposure rising to $12.2 billion, while Consumer & Retail exposure reached $140.3 billion and criticized exposure increased to $9.3 billion, both as of June 30, 2026.
