U.S. Coffee net sales declined 3.2% to $918 million in the second quarter. Volume/mix fell 8.2%, including the reporting shift of Peet’s K-Cup pods to the JDE Peet’s segment, more than offsetting 5.0% favorable net price realization. The company attributed the segment’s adjusted operating income decline to volume/mix pressure, inflation, and increased marketing, partially offset by pricing and productivity savings.
