GAAP second-quarter operating loss was $6,431 million, compared with a $7,974 million loss in the prior-year quarter. The current-quarter loss included $7,352 million of impairment, consisting of $2,441 million of goodwill impairment and $4,911 million of intangible-asset impairment. Adjusted Operating Income decreased 18.4% to $1,041 million, with North America down 15.8% to $988 million and International Developed Markets down 9.1% to $124 million, partially offset by Emerging Markets growth of 6.7% to $107 million. Six-month Adjusted Operating Income declined 15.2% to $2,099 million.
