The Americas generated $8,108 million of six-month sales, up 8%, and $2,544 million of operating profit, up 8%, from higher pricing, productivity, volumes and currency translation. EMEA sales increased 7% to $4,474 million year to date, but volumes declined 2% because of the manufacturing end market; operating profit increased 7% to $1,607 million. APAC sales increased 12% to $3,571 million and operating profit increased 7% to $1,008 million, with growth from volumes, pricing, productivity and currency translation. Engineering sales rose 2% to $1,142 million year to date, while operating profit decreased 1% because of project timing.
