Operating Cash Flow Trends
Mastercard Inc · 2026-07-30 · Importance 49 · Surprise 32 · In source text
Net cash provided by operating activities was $6.772 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026, down $211 million from $6.983 billion in the prior-year period. The decline occurred despite higher net income because higher customer incentive payments and cash paid for litigation settlements more than offset the benefit from higher net income after non-cash adjustments. Investing cash outflows increased $312 million to $879 million, primarily because of higher property and equipment purchases. Financing cash outflows decreased $953 million to $5.040 billion, reflecting higher debt-issuance proceeds and lower debt repayments, partly offset by larger share repurchases and dividend payments.
