Medical-Surgical Solutions revenue increased $118 million, or 4%, year over year to $2.8 billion. Sales to extended care customers rose $79 million, while sales to ambulatory care customers rose $35 million. Both customer categories were supported by underlying business growth, although ambulatory care contribution declined at the operating-profit level.
