Hugo Robotic Surgery Expansion

The U.S. FDA cleared Medtronic’s LigaSure™ RAS Maryland jaw device for use with the Hugo™ robotic-assisted surgery system. The instrument brings Medtronic’s LigaSure vessel-sealing technology, used in more than 45 million procedures worldwide, into robotic workflows. It seals and cuts vessels up to 7mm and is designed for the Valleylab™ FT10 energy platform on Hugo. The device had previously been introduced in Europe in 2025, expanding Hugo’s available robotic instruments across U.S. and European markets.
