Bank of America estimated that Meta could save approximately $8.5 billion in 2027 by running AI workloads on internally developed MTIA chips instead of third-party processors. Meta reportedly plans to deploy the MTIA 450, also called Arke, in the first half of 2027. The company is expected to follow with the MTIA 500, or Astrid, in late 2027.
