End-Market Demand Trends
MOSAIC CO · 2026-08-05 · Importance 48 · Surprise 40
Global fertilizer demand was pressured by affordability challenges, reducing Phosphate and Potash sales volumes in the second quarter, although six-month Phosphate volumes increased 10% as stronger starting inventories enabled export demand fulfillment in the first quarter. Fertilizer selling prices increased across segments as global supply tightened, including a 13% increase in Phosphate finished-product prices to $754 per tonne and a six-month Potash price increase to $279 per tonne. Mosaic Fertilizantes sales volumes declined 32% in the quarter and 23% for the six months, reflecting constrained production and limited customer credit availability in Brazil. China and India distribution sales increased to $356.9 million for the six months from $279.9 million, with higher selling prices and volumes.
