Cash used for common stock repurchases, including fees and expenses, totaled $3.28 billion in the first six months of 2026, compared with $1.84 billion in the first six months of 2025, an increase of approximately 78%. Dividend payments increased by $21 million year over year because of higher per-share dividends, partly offset by fewer shares outstanding following repurchases. Distributions to noncontrolling interests increased $75 million, primarily due to a higher MPLX distribution per common unit. The company also spent $100 million repurchasing MPLX common units, compared with $200 million in the prior-year period.
