The U.S. Department of Energy accepted MPC’s bids to exchange crude oil barrels with the Strategic Petroleum Reserve during the first and second quarters of 2026. Under the arrangements, the SPR will deliver approximately 22 million barrels to MPC throughout 2026. MPC will return approximately 27 million barrels from April 2027 through July 2029, creating a significant multi-year crude-supply and repayment commitment.
