Merck is optimizing its global Human Health manufacturing network as its pipeline shifts toward new modalities and is also optimizing the Animal Health network to improve supply reliability and efficiency. The 2025 Restructuring Program includes changes intended to align the geography of the global manufacturing footprint with customers and includes actions expected to be substantially completed by the end of 2029 for certain manufacturing activities. The Company continues hiring in new strategic growth roles while reducing positions in selected sales, administrative, and research and development organizations.
