Moderna reported 26 development candidates across 36 clinical development programs spanning infectious disease vaccines, oncology therapeutics and rare disease therapeutics. Its intismeran autogene program, mRNA-4157, is being advanced with Merck in nine Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials covering melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, bladder cancer and renal cell carcinoma; five-year Phase 2b melanoma data showed a 49% reduction in recurrence or death versus KEYTRUDA alone. The Phase 3 norovirus vaccine study for mRNA-1403 did not meet statistical criteria for early success at interim analysis, although enrollment of an additional cohort is continuing while the trial remains blinded. The propionic acidemia therapeutic mRNA-3927 has reached target enrollment in a registrational study, while the pivotal-trial decision for mRNA-3705 in methylmalonic acidemia was deferred pending the mRNA-3927 data readout.
