Microsoft released the open-source “code-testing-generator” agent to automate unit-test creation across programming languages. The agent analyzes a repository and uses a research-plan-implement workflow to plan, write, and validate tests. It is available as a dotnet-test plugin and can integrate with GitHub Copilot CLI, Visual Studio Code, and VS Code Insiders.
