Quantum Computing Milestone

Microsoft is giving the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency hands-on, on-site access to its latest quantum hardware at a new research center in Maryland. The system uses Microsoft's Majorana 2 chip and will be evaluated by DARPA, the University of Maryland, and other industry partners. The collaboration is intended to test whether Microsoft's quantum-computing approach can support economically feasible systems by 2033 and advances the company's path toward commercial quantum products.
