Jane Street hired Lindsay Bofman, Morgan Stanley’s former head of US rates sales, for its sales team in New York. Bofman spent eight years at Morgan Stanley and previously spent a decade at Barclays. The move reflects Jane Street’s expansion beyond algorithmic trading into institutional sales and trading, including Asian equities block trading and services for major banks. Morgan Stanley also lost its Singapore wealth head, Wee Yee Yeong, to Barclays, which is restarting its Singapore booking center and broader Asian private-banking operations.
