Micron launched first production starts of its 1α DDR4 technology in its Manassas, Virginia, fab during 2026. The technology expands Micron’s ability to support legacy-product requirements in automotive, industrial, medical, aerospace, and defense markets. The company is also modernizing Hiroshima to support future DRAM technology transitions, including HBM and other AI-driven memory products. Planned HBM advanced packaging expansion in Singapore and advanced HBM packaging capabilities in the United States support the transition toward higher-performance AI memory products.
