Columbia Operations served 2.42 million customers at June 30, 2026, up approximately 10,860 from the prior year, with residential and commercial customer growth partly offset by a decline in industrial customers. Six-month Columbia gas volumes declined 5.7 MMDth year over year, primarily because of lower off-system, residential and commercial usage, partly offset by higher industrial usage. NIPSCO electric sales increased 106.7 GWh in the first six months, driven primarily by industrial usage and residential customer growth, while NIPSCO gas volumes declined 9.5 MMDth because warmer weather reduced industrial, residential and commercial usage. NIPSCO’s total electric customer count increased by 2,642 and gas customer count increased by 6,191 year over year.
