Northrop Grumman and Boeing successfully demonstrated a command-and-control link allowing U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon crews to task MQ-4C Triton surveillance drones during missions. The test used the Universal Command and Control Interface to enable autonomous Triton mission planning, intelligence collection, and processed-data transmission. The capability is intended to improve interoperability and response times for the U.S. Navy and allied forces.
