Six-month on-peak power prices declined 15% in ERCOT-Houston and 17% in ERCOT-North, while prices increased in every reported East market, including 15% in NYISO J/NYC, 13% in NEPOOL, and 50% in PJM-West Hub. West markets weakened, with prices down 11% at the MISO Louisiana Hub and 36% at CAISO SP15. Henry Hub natural gas prices increased 12% to $3.97/MMBtu. NRG’s East business benefited from higher electric load and PJM capacity prices, while Texas experienced lower load and higher realized power prices under its diversified supply strategy.
