NRG continues to face Winter Storm Uri wrongful-death, personal-injury, property-damage, and subrogation claims in Texas in its capacity as a power generator. The First Court of Appeals conditionally granted mandamus relief directing dismissal of generator defendants, and the Texas Supreme Court denied review of the plaintiffs’ appeal on March 27, 2026. NRG is awaiting the trial court’s application of the dismissal across the generator cases and continues to defend the matters.
