Nucor raised its hot-rolled coil (HRC) spot price by $10 per short ton to $1,155, marking its third consecutive weekly increase. California Steel Industries, Nucor’s joint venture, raised its HRC spot price by $15 to $1,215 per short ton. The increases were attributed to strong demand in the U.S. flat-rolled steel market and reduced foreign import volumes.
