Fiscal 2026 operating expenses increased to $3.892 billion from $3.736 billion, and selling, general and administrative expenses increased to $3.509 billion from $3.301 billion. Dow Jones fourth-quarter EBITDA growth was partially offset by higher employee and technology costs, while fiscal-year growth was partially offset by higher employee and marketing costs. Digital Real Estate Services fiscal-year EBITDA was partly offset by higher employee costs primarily at Move, higher broker commissions, and higher marketing costs. Book Publishing fiscal-year EBITDA declined 3% because of higher sales-volume and employee costs, a $16 million inventory write-off, and a $13 million customer-receivable write-off.
