PG&E and the San Francisco Fire Department conducted a joint emergency-response exercise on Treasure Island involving electric-substation incidents. The exercise is intended to improve coordination, communications, and public safety during critical-infrastructure emergencies. The PG&E Foundation is also making a $1.25 million charitable contribution to support a new multi-use fire engine for the San Francisco Fire Department.
