PSEG Power’s nuclear units generated approximately 15.8 terawatt-hours during the first six months of 2026 at a 93.7% capacity factor. The Salem 1, Salem 2 and Hope Creek plants are expected to receive 20-year license extensions, and Hope Creek’s refueling cycle was extended from 18 months to 24 months. PSEG is planning power uprates at Salem Units 1 and 2 to increase generation capacity and reliability and support long-term operation. The nuclear fleet provides more than 80% of New Jersey’s carbon-free energy, and PSEG is evaluating long-term sales of power, capacity and emissions credits.
