In May 2026, Pfizer entered a global licensing and collaboration agreement with Innovent, a Chinese biopharmaceutical company, covering research and development of 12 early-stage and de novo cancer medicines. Innovent received a $650 million upfront payment and is eligible for up to $9.85 billion in development, regulatory and commercial milestones, plus up to double-digit royalties on approved-product sales. The transaction closed on July 10, 2026, and Pfizer and Innovent will share profits in the U.S., U.K. and European Union for four co-developed and co-commercialized programs.
