Progressive reported continued demand growth despite increased marketplace competition, with companywide net premiums written up 5% year over year and policies in force up 2.8 million from June 30, 2025. Personal Lines net premiums written increased 5%, supported primarily by a 9% increase in personal auto policies in force, while Commercial Lines premiums and policies increased 4% and 3%, respectively. Personal auto new business applications increased 1% and renewal applications increased 11%, while personal property new applications were flat and renewal applications increased 1%. Commercial auto new and renewal applications increased 1% and 8%, respectively, although for-hire transportation was the only BMT with declines in both measures.
