International Sales Decline

PRUDENTIAL FINANCIAL INC · 2026-08-04 · Importance 66 · Surprise 74 · No source text

International Businesses reported constant-dollar sales of $361 million in the second quarter, down 33% from $535 million in the year-ago quarter. The decline was primarily driven by the Prudential of Japan sales suspension. Despite the sales reduction, International Businesses increased adjusted operating income to $855 million from $761 million. Brazil business growth and higher joint-venture earnings helped offset the Japan-related disruption.
