Fourth-quarter research and development expense increased 22% year over year to $105.7 million, or 19% on a constant-currency basis, while fiscal-year R&D expense increased 14% to $378.3 million. Fourth-quarter GAAP selling, general and administrative expense increased 11% to $296.3 million, including $5.6 million of acquisition and portfolio review expenses.
