U.S. manufacturing demand strengthened in the third quarter of fiscal 2026, with the Manufacturing IP Index rising to 97.9 through June and the PMI reaching 53.3, its highest level in four years. Industrial output outside the U.S. was mostly positive, and manufacturing PMI readings were above 50 in many countries across all regions. Demand was strongest in Software & Control, where organic sales increased 18% in the quarter and 17% for the first nine months, while Intelligent Devices organic sales grew 10% and 12%, respectively; Lifecycle Services organic sales declined 2% and 3%.
