Republic Services invested nearly $1 billion in sustainability initiatives during 2025. The investments funded nine renewable natural gas projects, a polymer center that opened during the year and another polymer center under construction. The company expanded its electric collection fleet to more than 180 trucks. Polymer centers were subsequently reported to be operating above design capacity, with another facility expected to open in Pennsylvania.
