As of June 30, 2026, Republic owned or operated 208 active landfills with approximately 5.1 billion in-place cubic yards of total available disposal capacity. Permitted and probable expansion airspace increased to 5.081 billion cubic yards, including an addition of 54 million cubic yards from engineering estimates partially offset by 43 million cubic yards associated with net landfill acquisitions and divestitures. Fourteen landfills qualified for inclusion of probable expansion airspace and had an estimated average remaining life of 34 years. The average estimated remaining life across all landfills was 56 years.
