Pratt & Whitney completed the F135 Engine Core Upgrade Risk Reduction Design Review, validating design maturity and moving the program toward production. The upgrade is intended to provide enhanced power and thermal management for F-35 Block 4 and later configurations. Its drop-in design builds on the existing F135 architecture and is positioned to support modernization of the F-35 fleet for decades.
