Total backlog increased to $289 billion as of June 30, 2026 from $268 billion at December 31, 2025, a $21 billion increase. Commercial backlog rose to $170 billion from $161 billion, while defense backlog increased to $119 billion from $107 billion. Defense bookings increased to approximately $23 billion in the second quarter and $37 billion for the first six months, compared with $12 billion and $21 billion in the respective 2025 periods. Raytheon accounted for $20 billion of second-quarter defense bookings, including $3.7 billion for Patriot GEM-T interceptors for Ukraine, $1.1 billion for AIM-9X, $1.1 billion for AMRAAM, and $988 million for Patriot GEM-T interceptors for Poland.
