Consumer Brands Volume Shift

SHERWIN WILLIAMS CO · 2026-04-28 · Importance 63 · Surprise 76

The Consumer Brands Group reported a 19.2% increase in Net sales in Q1 2026, principally reflecting the October 2025 acquisition of Suvinil and a 2.4% benefit from favorable foreign currency translation. Sales also rose in Europe, while North American DIY demand softened, reducing Net sales in that channel by a low-single digit percentage. The Suvinil acquisition materially augmented the Consumer Brands top line and contributed to regional diversification, particularly in Latin America. Management cites global supply chain efficiencies as supportive of gross profit in the segment.
