SLB and Equinor signed a multi-year agreement for advanced reservoir stimulation services on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The arrangement includes a major conversion of the MV Island Captain into a fully proppant-capable stimulation vessel. The upgraded vessel is expected to carry up to 2 million pounds of proppant, with expanded storage, handling systems, and pumping capacity. The agreement secures dedicated stimulation capacity for future tight-reservoir developments and aims to improve recovery from offshore Norwegian wells.
